Seattle fans’ favorite NYC pub expands for Super Bowl
A Small Bar On Lexington Avenue on the Upper East Side called Carlow East has become a favorite of fans of the Settle Seahawks. And after tickets for the bar’s Super Bowl party sold out, the owners teamed up with two other local establishments to get as many eyes on the screen as possible.
“It started small and each year it grew and grew, but this year, it’s just been beyond belief,” said Carlow East owner Sean Spratt of the bar’s Seahawks’ crowd. “It’s like St. Patrick’s Day every Sunday in here.”
Spratt convinced McSwiggans on Second Avenue and East 23rd Street, and O’Flanagan’s on First Avenue and East 66th Street to mirror his Super Bowl deal after tickets at Carlow East sold out almost instantly, according to DNAinfo.
“For the last six years, these guys have been coming loyally to watch the games so we wanted to make sure that no one got shut out this Sunday,” Kevin Tracy, the owner of McSwiggans who also bartends at Carlow East on Sunday nights, said. [DNAinfo] –Christopher Cameron
