WEEKENDEDITION The interior of the Sky House penthouse in Lower Manhattan by designer Ghislaine Viñas has been called a “castle in the sky” where “heaven meets six-flags.” But it might be even more unusual than that.

In a four-story penthouse atop 150 Nassau Street that overlooks the East River and City Hall, the designer’s tongue-in-cheek overhaul includes a climbing wall, swing, an 80-foot mirrored slide, angular walls, and glass flooring, according to Domainehome.com.

“The house is really just like someone parked a château at the top of a building,” Viñas said.
“We’re trying to poke fun at more traditional elements,” Viñas added. “I’m not writing a thesis on design here, but when you find clients who you can collaborate with and have this much fun with, it’s incredibly rewarding.” [Domainehome]Christopher Cameron
