WEEKENDEDITION The Picasso hanging in the Four Seasons restaurant isn’t going anywhere – at least for now. A judge has ruled that the owners of the Seagram Building cannot move the artwork without causing serious damage to it.

Last week, Aby Rosen’s RFR Holding, Which Owns The 375 Park Avenue tower, attempted to move the “Le Tricorne” painting, arguing that the limestone wall behind the artwork is in desperate need of repairs.

However, a lawsuit was quickly filed claiming that Rosen wanted the painting removed because he personally dislikes it and that its removal would cause irreparable damage to the piece.

Rosen had called the $1.6 million artwork a “shmatte,” Yiddish for “rag,” according to court papers cited by the New York Post. [NYP]Christopher Cameron
