Construction has begun on an eight-story residential building at the site of a vacant lot in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The property at 168 Kosciuszko Street, also known as 689-691 Marcy Avenue, is expected to hold 41 units – either condominiums or rentals – as well as a 13-spot underground parking garage, 23 bicycle parking spots and a storage room. The currently empty parcel formerly housed a two-story warehouse building that was razed in 2012.
George Roth of Flushing, Queens-based 683 MARCY VAE REALTY LLC filed plans that were approved last summer. The company acquired the site for $750,000 in 2011, Brownstoner reported.
