Manhattan-based development startup Sumaida + Khurana has scooped up a Nolita property for $21 million.
Pritzker Prize-winning architect Tadao Ando will be designing a ground-up, eight-unit luxury condominium, which will be Sumaida + Khurana’s first in New York City, and the developers aim to complement the neighborhood’s industrial character with a “gritty” design.
The interiors of the new 32,000-square-foot structure would be designed by Michael Gabellini and Kimberly Sheppard, Crain’s reported. Gabellini and Sheppard also designed the retail spaces for brands like Armani, Saks and Vera Wang, as The Real Deal previously reported. [Crain’s] — Angela Hunt
