The move comes on the heels of a recent $350 million financing round. The new location, which has not yet been revealed, will serve as a home base from which to grow Dropbox’s base of business customers, Ross Piper, vice president of enterprise strategy for Dropbox, told Crain’s. A spokesperson for the company declined to tell Crain’s how many employees the New York office will hold, but the goal is to have 25 by the end of the year.

“Some of our largest customers come from the New York area and the industries where New York is strongest, like media and advertising and retail and fashion,” Piper told Crain’s. “We wanted to build a presence closer to them to help facilitate their success and also grow in the market.” [Crain’s]Julie Strickland
