“Mad Men” star Jon Hamm and his girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt are almost done renovating their penthouse co-op at 40 West 67th Street.
The couple purchased the two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in April 2013 for $2.5 million. The unit features two terraces and a wood-burning fireplace.
Despite the presence of actor Hamm, the building is best known for its role in a landmark court case — 40 West 67th Street v. Pullman — in which a judge ruled that a co-op board can use a “Pullman proceeding” to evict residents for illicit activity, breaking the building’s rules, or chronic “objectionable conduct.” The Court of Appeals upheld that right in 2003, as The Real Deal reported.
