Hudson Companies wants to build an eight-story mixed-use building on the border of Prospect-Lefferts Gardens and East Flatbush, according to plans filed with the city last week.
The new structure, to go up on five lots at 1295-1299 Nostrand Avenue and 306-310 Clarkson Avenue near Lenox Road, would be the second project for the firm in the area, BuzzBuzzHome reported.
Jonathan Kirschenfeld Architect is designing the building, which would include 170 residential units and 8,388 square feet of commercial space, according to BuzzBuzzHome.
Hudson is also building a 23-story rental tower that will include affordable housing units at 626 Flatbush Avenue, as The Real Deal previously reported. Neighbors, however, filed a suit against the New York State Housing Finance Agency at the end of last year to halt the development. Plaintiffs claim Hudson used $72 million in state funds without conducting a sufficient environmental impact study before starting construction, as previously reported. [BuzzBuzzHome] — Angela Hunt
