Developer Joseph Ciampa’s Packard Square West development, slated for 41-21 24th Street in Long Island City, will soon be the latest residential building to pop up in the bustling Court Square area.
The development is to measure 64,219 square feet in total, with 100 percent of the space devoted to residential use. The 11-story building’s 88 units will most likely be rentals. Excavation on site is already underway and completion is slated for 2015.
More than 3,500 residential units are set to rise in the Court Square area over the next four years, and housing prices have shot up by as much as 30 percent, according to previous reports. [New York YIMBY] — Julie Strickland
