Icon Realty Management filed plans with the Department of Buildings for a seven-story, 39,000-square-foot apartment complex on the Lower East Side.
The Isaac & Stern-designed property at 50 Clinton Street, between Stanton and Rivington streets, will hold 37 units and 1,836 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Demolition permits have yet to be filed for the current site, which houses wd-50, chef Wylie Dufresne’s testament to molecular gastronomy. It is unknown whether the units will be rentals or condominiums.
Last month, Icon Realty secured $33 million in financing for Chelsea’s GEM Hotel, replacing an initial $22 million mortgage closed in 2012, as previously reported. [New York Yimby] — Mark Maurer
