Tishman Speyer appears to have snapped up the $200 million Hudson Spire site near the Related Companies’ Hudson Yards.
Commercial brokerage Massey Knakal, which has been marketing the parcel combination at 507 West 34th Street, 510-28 West 35th Street and 435 10th Avenue, removed the listing from its website Thursday morning. The pull suggests the sale has gone into contract, according to New York Yimby. The New York Post reported earlier that Tishman Speyer was the frontrunner in the bidding for the property. The firm was the winning bidder in 2008 for the Hudson Yards site, but that deal fell through, with the Related Companies ultimately snagged the project.
Tishman Speyer also appears to be interested in snapping up an adjacent parcel belonging to Sherwood Equities, and could build a 2.5 million-square-foot tower on the combined parcels, making it one of the largest buildings in New York City.
The Rosenthal family, which currently owns the site stretching from West 35th to West 34th streets, recruited Bob Knakal and James Nelson of Massey Knakal to market the parcels in January. [New York Yimby] — Julie Strickland
