Residential developer Maddd Equities inked a 99-year lease for a Hudson Yards-area parcel, in order to build a 415,000-square-foot tower. The 700-foot-tall building at West 35th Street and 10th Avenue would hold residential units above either office or hotel space on the lower levels.
“Everyone right now is buying up parcels in this area and figuring out the best mix for maximizing their value,” Eli Weiss of Maddd told Crain’s.
Last month, Maddd proposed building a tower at 11-55 49th Avenue in Hunter’s Point that would include 140 rental apartments, 28 of them affordable.
Black House Development is also eyeing a 700-foot-tall Hudson Yards project – this one located at 470 11th Avenue. [Crain’s] — Mark Maurer
