Union Square-based developer Orange Management unveiled renderings for an eight-story, 34,000-square-foot building in the East Village.
The 80-foot-tall building at 75 First Avenue Near East 5th Street will feature nearly 8,500 square feet in ground-floor retail and space for 27 units. It is unknown whether the apartments will be condominiums or rentals. NO Architecture and HTO Architects are jointly designing it.
The property is expected to open in 2015, New York Yimby reported.
The long-stalled project has been through multiple iterations. Ozymandius Realty founder Anthony Marano filed plans in 2007 for a 14-story, 30-unit condominium building, as previously reported. [New York Yimby] — Mark Maurer
