Preliminary documents for Extell Development’s 68-story tower on the former Cherry Street Pathmark site emerged yesterday, calling for a building more than 1.2 million square feet in size.
Nearly 24,000 square feet of the new building at 227 Cherry Street will be set aside for commercial use, according to the pre-filing, and the remainder will be residential. A total of 787 residential units are planned.
Extell Senior Vice President Raizy Haas is in charge of the project, according to the application The architect of record is Nick Zigormanis of Adamson Associates, which designed three of the World Trade Center towers.
