Developer Simon Dushinsky’s Brooklyn-based Rabsky Group has filed plans for a nearly 61,789-square-foot, 15-story building in the East Village.
Karl Fischer has signed on as architect of record. The property at 644 East 14th Street between Avenue B and Avenue C will hold a community center on the first five floors, and 50 apartment units across more than 34,000 square feet. It is unknown whether the apartments will be rentals or condominiums. The ceilings are expected to hang low, given the 120-foot height of the property.
The lot, which offered nearly 66,000 square feet of development rights, hit the market last year. An additional 70,000 square feet of unused rights are potentially available from nearby parcels. [NY Yimby] — Mark Maurer
