UPDATED 5:30 p.m., May 27: New renderings have been released of the building conversion at the Jay Street Arts building in Dumbo.
The three-story building at 51 Jay Street, on the corner of Jay and Water Streets, was bought last year, for $45 million. The project is being developed by Slate Property Group and Adam America Real Estate. ODA Architecture is designing the building, which will house 74 apartments, including six penthouses and a townhouse. The renderings also show An Outdoor Terrace space, decked out bathrooms and larger living rooms.
“We have worked closely with the ODA team to bring to life our vision of a unique residential development built for Dumbo’s next generation seeking comfortable Brooklyn living combined with the utmost attention to detail and the highest quality finishes available today,” said Martin Nussbaum, principal of the Slate Property Group.
It appears that the high-end apartments will also include herringbone hardwood flooring and steel floor-to-ceiling casement windows.
The project is scheduled to be completed by early 2015. [BuzzBuzzHome] — Claire Moses
