Summer is around the corner and those lucky enough to live in a building with a pool are diving in. But the renters at one Chelsea apartment building may be forced to sweat it out this season.
London Terrace Gardens is taking London Terrace Towers — a co-op and rental building located at 405 West 23rd Street — to court over pool access, according to the New York Post.
The Gardens is accusing the Towers of failing to renew a 1994 sharing agreement, giving renters access to the half-Olympic-size indoor pool.
And this isn’t the first time water has been the subject of legal action at the building. Last year, former Republican mayoral candidate and supermarket mogul John Catsimatidis’ real estate company, Big Apple Real Estate, was hit with a lien of more than $100,000 for not paying a water bill at a Gristedes location in the Towers.
