Permits were filed on Tuesday for a new development at 436 Albee Square.
The residential development in Downtown Brooklyn is to be located across the street from the mixed-use City Point project. ODA Architecture is the architect on record, but the developer is unknown, NY Yimby reports, with just “Albee Square LLC” listed on the permit application.
The tower at 436 Albee square will rise 28 stories and be 310 feet tall. Two decaying buildings currently located at that address are slated to be demolished to give way to the new building. The ground floor of the new development will contain 310 feet of retail. Almost 119,000 square feet will go toward residential units.
The lot at 436 Albee Square was bought last year for about $3 million.
It’s still unclear when the development will be completed. [NY Yimby] — Claire Moses
