Sale of Kushner’s first Puck penthouse closes for $28M

Second-biggest unit in building features three bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms

The sale of penthouse IV in Jared Kushner’s Puck Building was finalized on May 29, according to property records filed with the city Monday. The unit in the penthouse-only building at 295 Lafayette Street went for $28 million, or more than $4,500 per square foot.

HNZ Group is the buyer, according to city records. The nearly 6,000-square-foot unit is the second biggest in the building and features three bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms. Raphael De Niro and Dennis Mangone of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing had the listing, the Wall Street Journal reported. The buyer was not disclosed.

The penthouses in the building range from 4,895 to 7,000 square feet. All of the penthouses include vault brick ceilings, cast-iron columns and oversized windows. Three of the apartments have outdoor space. — Claire Moses
