A 23-story, mostly residential building will rise on the site of A Former Yeshiva University Lecture Hall On East 34th Street.
Renderings for the building at 237 East 34th Street, which will be 210 feet tall, have been revealed, according to NY Yimby. The former lecture hall will be demolished. Alex Forkosh is the developer and the new building is being designed by C3D Architecture.
The ground floor of the building will include 6,282 square feet of retail.
In total, 84,256 square feet will be used as residential space, split between 108 units. The building will also have 7,002 square feet of common space on several floors throughout the building.
The site was bought in 2012 for $15.5 million. Completion of the new building is likely to be done by 2016. [NY Yimby] — Claire Moses
