A development site nestled next to 5Pointz and near MoMA PS1 in Long Island City is seeing action.
Located at 22-22 Jackson Avenue, the site is moving forward with the early stages of foundation work. And by 2016, a 182-apartment, mixed-use building with 188,563 square feet of residential space will stand on the property, according to Curbed. The developer is Jeff Gershon.
ODA Architecture is handling design on the rather boxy-looking project, which will also offer 5,732-square-feet of retail. Amenities will include bike storage, a library, pool, gym, lounge, communal rooftop rec space, enclosed parking and private terraces. [Curbed] – Christopher Cameron
