Williamsburg-based development firm ASH NYC, led by Jonathan Minkoff and Ari Heckman, is looking to construct a 70,000-square-foot mixed-use building in Bushwick.
The property would be converted from an old factory space known as Dannenhoffer’s Opalescent Glassworks at 330 Himrod Street near Wyckoff Avenue. A manufacturer of plastic bags occupied the structure after the glass factory shut down. Demolition permits were filed for part of the structure; the remainder will be integrated into the new building, which will be five stories on one side and four stories on the other. It will hold 80 apartments – either rentals or condominiums – and ground-floor commercial space. Construction permits have yet to be filed, Wyckoff Heights reported.
The developers also will upgrade the letters on the building’s façade. [Wyckoff Heights] — Mark Maurer
