Baccarat Hotel & Residences

20 West 53rd Street 3

The 50-story Baccarat Hotel & Residences made headlines in April when two units were reportedly sold, sight-unseen, by a Douglas Elliman broker who was approached on the Chinese social networking site WeChat. Sales at the Skidmore, Owings & Merrill-designed building, located at 20 West 53rd Street, began in March 2013. As of early July, StreetEasy showed 35 of its 61 condos in contract and 13 still on the market. Asking prices for the available apartments range from $5.15 million for a 1,167-square-foot one-bedroom to $60 million for a 7,381-square-foot four-bedroom. Interiors, designed by Tony Ingrao, feature a Baccarat chandelier, floor-to-ceiling windows, SieMatic kitchens and custom bronze work. The building, developed by Starwood Capital Group and Tribeca Associates, also has 114 hotel rooms. Amenities include a concierge, housekeeping, 24-hour in-residence dining, a gym, and an indoor pool. Contact www.baccaratresidencesny.com or 212-765-5300.
