Renwick Modern at 22 Renwick Street

The Soho condo building Renwick Modern has put its troubled past behind it and is nearing a sell-out. The 12-story, 17-unit project at 22 Renwick Street has over the years struggled with price cuts, and faced lawsuits and foreclosure before Del Shah Capital took it over and sales picked up. As of early July, four units were still available: two three-bedrooms, ranging between 2,221- to 2,432-square-feet, asking $6.2 million and $6.5 million, respectively; and two four-bedrooms ranging between 3,400- to 5,286-square-feet for $15 million and $28 million respectively. The Renwick Modern has a distinctive entryway that incorporates surfaces of aged metal and Venetian plaster. The apartments feature floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Hudson River, oak flooring and high-end kitchen appliances. Designed by Philip Johnson/Alan Ritchie Architects, the building has an attended lobby, private storage, a bicycle room and a 421a tax abatement. Contact www.renwickmodern.com or 212-229-2272.
