Two penthouse condominium units at the Residences at the W New York Downtown sold this week, setting a price-per-square-foot record in the Financial District, according to a spokesperson for the building.
A 799-square-foot one-bedroom sold for $1.99 million or $2,491 per square foot, while a 1,175-square-foot two-bedroom sold for $3 million or $2,562 per square foot. The units are 55A and 55B. Jonathan Miller of appraisal firm Miller Samuel confirmed to The Real Deal that these are both record sales in the area.
Prices for the remaining one-bedroom and two-bedroom units at the Moinian Group’s condo-hotel at 123 Washington Street start at $1.35 million.
The Marketing Directors took over sales there last September, replacing Richard Nassimi’s team at the Corcoran Group, as previously reported. — Mark Maurer
