Multiple business on the Upper East Side are closing to make way for a new development.
Icon Realty Management bought six buildings on Second Avenue between 80th and 81st streets over the past seven years — spending a total of $44.8 million — and is expected to build a new high-rise there. Icon Realty purchased the air rights from another building on the block.
Johnny Foxes closed down Sunday. Chinese eatery Nancy Lee’s Pig Heaven and Mexican restaurant Cascabel Taqueria are closing too.
