The latest building to join the High Line has been revealed.
Soo Chan from SCDA Architects is designing 515 West 29th Street, which is being developed by Joseph Beninati of the Bauhouse Group.
The building will be 11 stories, with a potential total space of 43,000 square feet. Bauhouse Group bought the building in September 2013 for $24.4 million. The developer bought additional air rights this year.
Based on the renderings, the structure will look different from other properties overlooking the High Line. Glass will extrude from the upper levels of the building, which imparts a rippling, wave-like feel to the design.
Construction is expected to be completed next year. [NY YIMBY] — Claire Moses
