Brookfield promotes vet to replace Mitch Rudin
Paul Schulman, who headed up DC operations, to oversee entire U.S. portfolio
Brookfield Office Properties has found a replacement for Mitch Rudin, the CEO of commercial operations who made a surprise exit last month. Paul Schulman, a Brookfield vet who was in charge of operations in Washington, D.C., will now serve as president and COO of the entire U.S. office portfolio.
The Toronto-based firm owns 63 buildings in the U.S., spanning 57 million square feet. Schulman joined the company in 1998.
“Paul has been an integral member of the U.S. senior executive team for many years,” Brookfield Office Properties’ CEO Dennis Friedrich said in a statement provided to Crain’s. “The business will continue to flourish and grow under his increased leadership and strategic vision.”
