Two years after Jamestown Properties’ proposed 330,000-square-foot Chelsea Market addition was approved in a controversial decision, renderings of the planned office space have surfaced.
The extension along Ninth and Tenth avenues, which originally included an adjoining hotel, is now designed to hold only office space in a vertical addition to the building. The new tower additions are expected to be completed in 2015. They are slated to stand seven and eight stories tall.
Early last year, the interior of the market was revamped to create space for eight new food vendors in a spot previously occupied by Amy’s Bread. [Curbed] — Julie Strickland
