Ride-sharing app Lyft is moving to Queens.
The start-up is leasing 5,000 square feet at the Falchi Building for the coming two years. The company is moving into the fourth floor of the building, according to Crain’s.
Jamestown — the owner of the 570,000-square-foot property at 31-00 47th Avenue — just like other landlords in emerging markets in the outer boroughs — is increasingly trying to attract technology tenants.
The building used to be a Gimbels department store warehouse.
Earlier this year, Juice Press took office space, providing a juice bar for other tenants in the building. Jamestown has created a small food court for the tenants. [Crain’s] — Claire Moses
