Residents in Harlem are upset about an architectural change coming to the area.
City College is planning to build a glass addition to a limestone townhouse at 280 Convent Avenue. The Landmarks Preservation Commission approved the addition about a year ago, according Harlem + Bespoke.
According to the website, Congressman Charles Rangel was supposed to have the building named after him. Instead, the building will be named after former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who also donated $5 million to the school. [Harlem + Bespoke] — Claire Moses
