Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty opened the residential brokerage’s first sales office in Queens today, marking the Long Island-based company’s first locale inside the five boroughs.
Located at 35-16B Francis Lewis Boulevard in Flushing, the outpost will house 30 employees who speak a variety of languages including Arabic, Greek, Italian, Mandarin and Croation in an effort to cater to the diverse communities in the borough, according to a release from the brokerage.
“While we’re well known on Long Island for our real estate expertise and professionalism, we’ve been steadily growing our number of listings and transactions in Queens, so much so that it made sense to take the next step and establish a neighborhood sales office,” Patricia Petersen, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s president and CEO said in the release.
The Flushing sales office marks the 23rd for the company, the remainder of which are located along the North Shore of Long Island. The company launched a new development division in late 2012, shortly after acquiring the Roslyn, N.Y.-based Coldwell Banker Claire Sobel Real Estate earlier that summer. — Julie Strickland
