Aby Rosen is looking to build himself a mega-mansion on Park Avenue.
Rosen wants to convert 1025 Park Avenue, which is currently a 10-unit co-op, into his personal mansion, the New York Daily News reported. In order to do so, however, Rosen will have to become head of the co-op board and buy out the remaining shareholders in the building.
The real estate mogul is in contract to buy 75 percent of the building’s shares from Gene Wilder’s ex-wife, Mary Wilder, who is currently the head of the co-op board.
The building, which is 60 feet wide and totals 19,000 square feet, Would Be The Biggest Private Residence On Park Avenue. It will likely sell to Rosen for $60 million, according to the Daily News. [NYDN] — Claire Moses
