New York state has filed to seize several properties in the path of Forest City Ratner’s Pacific Park Brooklyn, the development previously known as the Atlantic Yards project.
On August 20, the Empire State Development Corporation asked the Brooklyn Supreme Court to determine compensation for seven properties between Sixth Avenue and Carlton Avenue, DNAinfo reported.
The properties include three residential buildings on Dean Street, a commercial building at 25 Sixth Avenue and a storage facility at 728 Atlantic Avenue, according to the website. The last is a century-old facility at 700 Atlantic bought by Waterbridge Capital in 2012 for $7 million.
Empire State Development indicated that four residential buildings, a public school and an open space will occupy the land, according to DNAinfo. [DNAinfo] — Tom DiChristopher
