A new look is available at the proposed proton beam therapy facility in East Harlem.

According to New York YIMBY, the Economic Development Corporation is in talks to bring the proton center, which develops a type of radiation treatment, to 201-225 East 126th Street as part of its Media, Entertainment and Cultural Center complex.

An application for a permit to build the 115,000-square-foot building was filed with the city last week.

The renderings show a three-story development with large rectangular spaces, which are needed for the therapy center’s equipment. The $300 million facility would be built as a partnership between four local hospitals, according to YIMBY.
