One developer is hoping to sell a Vinegar Hill townhouse for a Dumbo price.
The Meshberg Group recently renovated the 19th century, four-bedroom home at 69 Gold Street, the New York Daily News reported. Currently, it’s the only available townhouse in the neighborhood. The property comes with an adjoining carriage house and a gym in the basement.
The highest recorded sale for a townhouse in Vinegar Hill happened in 2010, when a four-family home at 204 Front Street went for $1.8 million, according to the Daily News.
Vinegar Hill does not have a lot of restored townhouses and due to zoning restrictions, allowing only for limited development. Still, with Dumbo’s popularity rising, brokers are betting it will spill over to neighboring Vinegar Hill. [NYDN] — Claire Moses
