A rich nephew of Kazakhstan’s president Nursultan Nazarbayev is looking to rent out his four-bedroom Plaza apartment for $55,000 a month.

Daniyar Nazarbayev listed his 4,200-square-foot apartment, according to the New York Daily News. The paper reported that the unit, listed with Bouklis Group’s Tom Bouklis and Vikrant Patel, has Art Deco details, ceilings with mosaic glass, crystal chandeliers and crown moldings.

Daniyar is currently involved in a lawsuit with the Plaza, where he allegedly owes more than $129,000 in common charges on the unit, according to the Daily News. Daniyar is also still involved in a legal struggle with his former stepfather, Bolat Nazarbayev, to determine who owns the unit. The stepfather claims that ownership was illegally transferred to Daniyar, according to court papers.

Bolat — together with Daniyar’s mother Maira Nazarbayeva — bought the apartment for $20.2 million in 2008. [NYDN] — Claire Moses
