Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center signed a nine-year lease expanding its space at Himmel + Meringoff’s eight-story Upper East Side building at 1114 First Avenue to now occupy the total office space there.
The hospital is taking 11,104 additional square feet for non-medical offices, giving it 38,864 square feet in total. The 5,500-square-foot, ground-floor retail space is leased to Hartstrings, a subsidiary of children’s apparel distributor Parigi Group.
Newmark Grubb Knight Frank brokers Robert Eisenberg and Mark Weiss represented the tenant, while Jason Vacker and Mark Stein represented Himmel + Meringoff in-house. The property is undergoing an expansion of the interior, a spokesperson said. [NYO] — Mark Maurer
