The people have spoken: no to turquoise and green, yes to white and magenta.
Local residents voted on the color scheme of the exterior of HAP Investments LLC’s residential development at 329 Pleasant Avenue. Karim Rashid, an Egyptian-born designer known for his use of bright colors, designed the building.
The votes were counted on Monday, according to the Wall Street Journal, and residents voted against the original plan of green and turquoise. Instead, they preferred white balconies with a magenta rim.
“Going forward we will be using the preferred color scheme in our development,” Eran Polack, chief executive of HAP Investments LLC, told the Journal. [WSJ] — Claire Moses
