Kingsbridge National Ice Center has signed a 99-year lease for the site of its $320 million Bronx project, more than a week after a Bronx Supreme Court justice dismissed an ownership claim from former development partners.
The lease deal was finalized with the city’s Economic Development Corporation. The developers, led by Kevin Parker, plan to construct a nine-rink center and 5,000-seat arena.
Two lawsuits stalled the project from proceeding. Earlier this month, Justice John Barone upheld Parker’s allegation that the plaintiffs — Parker’s former business partners — have no ownership stake in the development team, as previously reported. [NYO] — Mark Maurer
