A 1.1 million-square-foot office project could come to the Red Hook waterfront.
Est4te Four, an Italian developer, has been buying up pieces of the Red Hook waterfront since 2012, according to New York YIMBY. The developer is looking to redevelop the site into office space and maybe a hotel, according to the website. The space will include 1.1 million square feet of office space within a number of new buildings, plus a waterfront promenade.
The location is somewhat remote, more than a mile away from the nearest F/G subway stop.
Est4te Four developed 160 Imlay, a residential conversion also located in Red Hook. There, one-bedroom units and studios are selling for around $1 million, while the penthouses cost more than $5 million.
Architecture firm NBBJ is designing the project. New renderings show buildings with relatively low heights, topping out at six stories. [NY YIMBY] — Claire Moses
