Steepest, cheapest listings to hit Manhattan this week

On the high end: Eight-bedroom condo. On the low end: a Hudson Heights studio

Douglas Elliman’s Andrew Azoulay had the week’s priciest listing with a $42 million penthouse at 1965 Broadway. The 8,100-square-foot unit includes eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The penthouse is located on top of one of Lincoln Center’s modern condominium buildings. The three-story penthouse has a total of 16 rooms and pricing comes down to $5,185 per square foot. The unit also includes a 2,000-square-foot private exterior space. There are two kitchens as well as a powder room.

The second priciest listing of the week was a duplex penthouse at 3 East 95th Street for $34.9 million. Corcoran’s Carrie Chiang had the listing. Cardboard box mogul Dennis Mehiel is bringing this 17-room duplex to market again, after it languished unsold back in 2008. The unit includes a living room with 20-feet ceilings and historic details. The residence offers roughly 10,350 square feet of living space, including a grand salon, a dining room and a library.
