The owner of a gritty lot in East Williamsburg has filed plans to build a seven-story mixed-use building on the site.
Permit applications filed today with the city’s Department of Buildings call for a 93,000-square-foot structure to rise at 89 Bartlett Street, also known as 658 Broadway. Located Between Broadway And Throop Avenue, the new structure will house 64 residential units in 54,168 square feet.
Another 20,000 square feet will be designated for a community facility and 18,126 square feet will be commercial space. Plans also call for an 85-car garage.
Public records show the owner of 89 Bartlett — an entity listed as Corner Broadway LLC — paid $1.5 million for the property in 2010.
The property is a few blocks south of a 63,000-square-foot, mixed-use project between Grand and Maujer streets that is being developed by Jeff Kurtz of Kamson Corporation and Dean Marchi of Grand Street Development, as well as 10-unit building that’s being developed at 83 Humboldt Street, between Moore and Siegel streets.
