Prince William and Duchess Kate to check in at the Carlyle

Rooms at the posh Upper East Side hotel start at $675 per night

From Luxury Listings NYC: New York will be soon graced by a visit from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. And during their stay from Dec. 7-9, the couple will naturally be residing in a luxury Manhattan hotel: the Carlyle.

But, ever modest, the royals will not be taking the most luxurious accommodations the hotel has to offer. If they had, it would have cost the British public $15,000 a night for the Empire Suite — a sprawling duplex with a private art collection, according to Inquisitr.

Still, rooms at the Carlyle start at $675 per night.

During their stay, their royal highnesses will be attending a fundraiser for their alma mater, St. Andrews University, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Sponsors of the event can expect to shell out $100,000 for a table of 10. [Inquistr] – Christopher Cameron
