Sorgente Group executives and Douglas Elliman brokers celebrated the launch of 60 White Street, an office-to-residential condominium conversion in Tribeca.
In 2010, Sorgente, an Italian development firm headed by Veronica Mainetti, purchased commercial buildings at 60, 62 and 66 White Street in the Tribeca East Historic District for $23 million. The investment firm began the conversion at 60 White Street after securing approval for the project from the Landmarks Preservation Commission last year.
Sorgente is converting the cast-iron building into eight loft-style apartments, where prices start at $4.6 million. The building’s penthouses are duplexes and non-penthouse units occupy an entire floor.
One of the project’s penthouses is asking $9.3 million. — Kerry Barger
