A 14-story building will be replacing a warehouse at 134-03 35th Avenue in Flushing, Queens, according to a permit application filed with the city today.
Flushing-based owner C&G Empire Realty, LLC, led by managing member Jia Shu Xu, is planning to construct a 206,968-square-foot building at the site. Jon K. Yung of Architect PC is designing the building.
The plans include putting 134 units on the second through the 13th floors as well as 21 hotel rooms on the second through the 11th floors. In total, the application calls for 102,647 square feet of residential space, an 18,072-square-foot community facility and an 86,249-square-foot commercial component. The project will include six retail locations as well as an eating and drinking establishment. The plan also calls for an attended garage with 223 parking spaces.
A representative from C&G Empire Realty was not immediately available on Thursday afternoon.
Before construction can start, the lot, which is currently zoned for industrial use, will have to be rezoned for residential use.
