The week’s most expensive listing was a six-bedroom, six-bathroom condo in Chelsea’s Walker Tower at 212 West 18th Street for $44.5 million. The price of the 12-room unit comes down to $6,379 per square foot. Douglas Elliman’s Michael Graves had the listing. The nearly 7,000-square-foot unit, which also includes 983 square feet of private outdoor space, is the largest that has ever been offered at the iconic Ralph Walker-designed tower. Actors Harrison Ford, Cameron Diaz, Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman are reportedly among the building’s residents.
Sotheby’s Serena Boardman had the week’s second priciest listing with a $40 million townhouse at 41 East 70th Street. The more than 13,000-square-foot Lenox Hill home was built in 1929 for Walter and Carola Rothschild. The six-story home lingered on the market for five years before selling for $30 million in 2012.
The third priciest listing was a multi-family building in Tribeca. Brown Harris Stevens’ Erin Boisson Aries and Nic Bottero had the listing for $22.5 million at
431-433 Washington Street. The property spans roughly 13,000 square feet and the price comes down to $1,731 per square foot.
The week’s cheapest listing was a one-bedroom at
544 West 157th Street for $249,000. Urban Compass’ Kelly Waters and Joseph Quiros listed the Washington Heights co-op. The unit includes an open kitchen, stainless steel appliances and it’s ready for a new buyer. The unit has a renovated bathroom.
Sotheby’s International Realty’s Thomas Healy had the week’s second cheapest listing with a studio apartment at
66 West 84th Street for $257,000. The unit is being advertised as “a great pied-á-terre.” Owners are allowed to sublet the apartment for two years.
The third cheapest listing this week was a 700-square-foot one-bedroom unit in Hudson Heights. Corcoran Group’s Paul Chapru had the listing at
854 West 181st Street for $299,000. The unit’s living rooms have parquet floors, high ceilings and oversized windows. —
