Office-space provider Regus is headed to Brooklyn after signing a 38,000-square-foot lease at Forest City Ratner’s One Pierrepont Plaza office building.
Regus, which provides part-time office, co-working spaces and short-term rentals at several buildings in Manhattan, inked a 12-year lease for the entire 12th floor in the property located on the edge of Brooklyn Heights and Downtown Brooklyn.
“The building is perfectly positioned in this bustling downtown Brooklyn neighborhood packed full of commuting business people, home based businesses, lawyers and, of course, established Brooklyn businesses,” Regus Regional Vice President Maria Paitchel said in a statement. “It offers a very central location with fantastic commuting links and is the perfect base for any thriving Brooklyn business.”
Regus was represented by Mark Ravesloot, Mike Kay and Scott Sloves of CBRE.
Howard Fiddle, Keith Caggiano and Evan Haskell of CBRE are in charge of leasing at the building, and along with the Regus lease closed two other deals in recent weeks.
Custom-sign maker SmartSign inked a 10-year lease for 12,700 square feet on the 13th floor, and litigation-services-provider U.S. Legal Support took approximately 10,000 square feet on the same floor for 10 years.
Brian Weld of Cassidy Turley represented SmartSign and George Grace of Mohr Partners repped U.S. Legal.
Rents in the building are in the mid $40s.
