The eagle-eyed blogger at Scouting New York may have spotted the most decadent and arguably the most beautiful elevator in New York City.
“A few days ago, I was in the lobby of a Manhattan apartment building waiting to speak with the doorman when I happened to notice an old elevator in the corner,” the blogger writes.
Not only does it have a green leather seat, it’s also still manually operated.
According to the manufacturer’s plaque, it was built by the A. B. See Elevator Company. Unfortunately, the address of the building was not revealed.
