The building, dubbed the Wimbledon, sits at 200 East 82nd Street on the southeast corner of Third Avenue, and contains 243 apartments and ground-floor retail. The Boston-based real estate private equity firm completed the transaction with a $115 million loan that was provided by Wells Fargo.
CBRE brokered the deal, the New York Observer reported.
JP Morgan purchased the property in 2008 for $150.35 million.
The Wimbledon was built in 1980. Rents range from $3,500 a month to more than $15,000 a month. [NYO] — Tess Hofmann
